1953

Bruce E. Bridges forms The Eagle Bridges Company as a privately-owned corporation in Georgia

1955

After being Honorably Discharged from the U.S. Army, Bruce Larry Bridges joins his father in the business.

 

1955

Bruce Larry Bridges shifts the Eagle Bridges Paint Company focus from commercial house paints to custom engineered industrial coatings as a part of his vision to assist industrial Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM’s) by designing coatings that meet the precise performance and application needs of its customers. This becomes the hallmark trait of The Eagle Bridges Company, as it grows technical capacities and geographical reach, while maintaining its distinctive customized approach to responding to customer’s specific needs with unique and innovative solutions.

1964

Bruce Larry Bridges becomes sole Owner and C.E.O. by acquiring his father’s remaining stock.

1984

Eagle Bridges acquires Marathon Industries, Inc. to enter the industrial insulation adhesives market. Moving the operations from Hainesport New Jersey to the Byron, GA Facility, Eagle Bridges-Marathon begins manufacturing Mastics, Coatings, and Adhesives for the Insulation Industry.

1985

Bruce’s son, Kevin Bridges begins working for the company.

1988

Kevin becomes President and Operations Manager. Kevin immediately works to to expand Eagle Bridges’ technical offerings to provide to an enhanced range of coatings solutions for Eagle Bridges customers.

1988

Eagle Bridges acquires the Colorama Paint Company, a manufacturer and supplier of water based coatings, specifically designed for the mobile and modular home construction market, based in Tifton, Georgia.

1992

Eagle Bridges expands the Byron facility and moves the Colorama operation from Tifton, GA  to Byron, GA.

2005

Eagle Bridges acquires the Elite Coatings Company located in Gordon, GA and enters the Heavy Industrial niche market.   Eagle Bridges expands its product offerings through a market-tested line of epoxy primers and topcoats, zinc rich epoxy coatings, two component acrylic polyurethanes, and a line of waterborne maintenance coatings. The acquisition provides Eagle Bridges an additional 12,000 square feet of production capacity.

 

2006

Kevin Bridges becomes owner and C.E.O. of Eagle Bridges. He remains active in the daily operations and management of the company but has added additional management and leadership personnel to the organization to ensure that Eagle Bridges will continue to fulfill its primary mission to assist customers in selecting, developing, and applying industrial coatings that help them to be more profitable.
